Cap embroidery: front, side and back

A cap has three places to embroider and each one needs its own file. Knowing the difference avoids the most common defect: a crooked logo on the front.

Front

It is curved and often has a seam in the middle. The file stitches from the center out and from the bottom up, pushing the fabric to the sides instead of bunching it in the middle. It is where 3D puff shows the most.

Side

A smaller, flatter area. Good for a symbol, a flag or a short text. The file is small and needs simplified detail.

Back

Above the closure, with little height. Works well for a website, an Instagram handle or a short name on one line.
